Jazz Workshop

In 1985  I began studying Jazz guitar after work at the Jazz Workshop Cape Town. My teacher was Clive Hallett who was well known as a classical guitarist. So we studied Heitor Villa-Lobos together with Chick Corea and Joe Pass in equal measure. Plectrums were a complete taboo in Clive's class and so I gained a fluent and valuable finger picking technique.
